Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, rinsed & drained
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Juice & zest of 1 lemon (~3 tbsp juice)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Optional: red pepper flakes

How to Make It

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high. Sauté asparagus 4-5 min until tender-crisp.
  2. Add chickpeas and garlic, cook 2-3 min until heated.
  3. Stir in lemon juice, zest, salt, and pepper, cook 1 min.
  4. Serve hot, sprinkled with red pepper flakes if desired.
